Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki underscored the imperative need for establishing an endowment fund to address the enduring financial challenges faced by public sector universities.
Chairing a high-level meeting focused on reviewing the administrative and financial affairs of Balochistan’s universities, he expressed reservations about the sustainability of providing bailout packages as a solution to financial woes. Instead, he advocated for the control of rising costs.

The chief minister highlighted that the establishment of an endowment fund is crucial for a lasting resolution to the financial issues of public sector universities. He outlined plans to seek support from the federation for this initiative and assured that the provincial government would contribute to the fund according to its available resources.
Moreover, Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki stressed the importance of enhancing governance in public sector universities, emphasizing the need for continuous third-party audits. These audits, he believed, would ensure transparency.
